Press release dated April 19, 2021

The report on the health aspects of 5G will be made public tomorrow, April 20th, by ANSES during a videoconference from 9 to 10 am to which members of the “Radiofrequencies and health” dialogue committee are invited.

Aware of the pressures of economic, technological and political issues that weigh on the health agency, our organizations hope that only the scientific aspects will be taken into account.

This is made particularly difficult when the frequencies have been sold by the State to mobile operators for nearly three billion euros and by the fact that, without waiting for the results of the studies, more than 30,000 relay antennas have already been authorized to transmit by the National Frequency Agency (ANFR).

The health risks associated with 5G mobile phones and the consequences of the significant increase in public exposure levels around 5G antennas are for us the main issue of this report.

Indeed, the primary source of human exposure to radio waves comes from our smartphones. The Phonegate scandal has highlighted deception and failure concerning the European regulations governing the measurement of the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) that is mandatory before marketing.

Secondly, the significant increase in public exposure levels around 5G antennas in the 3.6 Giga Hertz frequency band requires a response regarding the protection and prevention strategies proposed by ANSES.

ANSES emphasizes in its interim report on 5G: “…the need to obtain as much information as possible from the industrialists involved in order to best estimate the exposure scenarios and anticipate possible risks for the populations. “

We will therefore be mobilized to analyze the opinion issued by ANSES and share with you a first reaction of the signatory associations during a press briefing organized from 3 to 4 pm on zoom (French local time)
